The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sören Termander was a little too slow when Vedat Arslanoğlu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 15th minute. The score was now 1-0. A collision led to Lions Of Turks getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Ceyhan Balısoy hit a great ball. After 25 played minutes Gunnarsbyn got a freekick which was hit by Sven-Olof Bergkvist. 28 minutes in the game, Vedat Arslanoğlu fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Sören Termander having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Vedat Arslanoğlu put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Sören Termander. İlhami Özselen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Per Stigsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lions Of Turks's Arif Burak Erengüç played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Per Stigsson in the 62nd minute of play. Leif Söderberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arif Burak Erengüç. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leif Söderberg ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Lions Of Turks's Arif Burak Erengüç got control of the ball when Leif Söderberg tried to sneak it across the goal line.
