In the 18th minute, Luís Fábio Travassos made a precise shot to the right of Gerardo Arnau. Northern California's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. 20 minutes into the game, Olympique Deleon's Jeremias Correia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gerardo Arnau made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. In a very dangerous position, a player in Northern California fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 24th minute. Penalty! Kléber Lira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antonio Mendebal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 42nd match minute, Olympique Deleon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sydney Motta to maneuver through the defense. Marco Policarpio received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Kléber Lira came out and tried to block the shot, but Marco Policarpio slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 45th minute. The Northern California players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Olympique Deleon were winning 1-4.

In the 51st minute Marco Policarpio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kléber Lira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Natanael Vale hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Nilmar Sousa charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Northern California's Gerardo Arnau proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Northern California from getting a goal against them. In the 69th minute, Celedonio Prejun ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kléber Lira was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Policarpio in the 78th minute of play forced Olympique Deleon's goalkeeper Kléber Lira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kléber Lira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antonio Mendebal, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Gerardo Arnau made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Mathias Rossi sent off a good shot on target. Kléber Lira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celedonio Prejun in the 88th minute of play. Olympique Deleon's Kléber Lira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximino Lawrence in the 89th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Olympique Deleon's Mathias Rossi got a free kick in the 91st minute. Kléber Lira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angel Teofilio in the 92nd minute of play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
