Spectators: 7515 (Terracing: 5637, Seating: 1728, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gil Simões started the match with the kick off. Jorge Montenegro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Everardo Vela went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 9 minutes into the match, Everardo Vela had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jorge Montenegro. PLURAL's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Everardo Vela was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Everardo Vela recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bartolo Chepe had great luck who in the 14thth minute grab hold of the ball when Gil Simões from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Everardo Vela in the 15th minute of play forced PLURAL's goalkeeper Jorge Montenegro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Stronghold S.A booed when PLURAL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Caio Caiado didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 19th minute Everardo Vela shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Montenegro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bartolo Chepe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leandro Falcão in the 21st minute. The audience was convinced that Teobaldo Aurre's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jorge Montenegro was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. When Baldomiro Mikelar fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Stronghold S.A's protests and gave Baldomiro Mikelar a yellow card for diving instead. In the 26th minute, Baldomiro Mikelar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Sandro Mafra came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the PLURAL fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sandro Mafra couldn't finish the play. Jorge Montenegro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teobaldo Aurre in the 29th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Teobaldo Aurre in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jorge Montenegro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Teo Loreto fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Stronghold S.A's protests and gave Teo Loreto a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of PLURAL booed when Stronghold S.A was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teo Loreto didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 34 minutes, António Jesus mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the PLURAL and the Stronghold S.A players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to PLURAL getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. António Jesus hit a great ball. Gil Simões recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Everardo Vela in the 40th minute of play forced PLURAL's goalkeeper Jorge Montenegro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Modesto Gabino made a great header on Stronghold S.A's corner, it was just that PLURAL's Jorge Montenegro managed to reach the ball for a save. Everardo Vela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Teobaldo Aurre made the kick off in the second half. Leandro Falcão took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bartolo Chepe. Bartolo Chepe dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Benigno Chinto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Jorge Montenegro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Everardo Vela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to PLURAL getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Adalberto Araújo hit a great ball. Modesto Gabino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Leandro Falcão managed to get in a good position for a shot. PLURAL's supporters rose to their feet, but Leandro Falcão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bartolo Chepe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Stronghold S.A's Everardo Vela got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If António Jesus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bartolo Chepe stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gil Simões's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. Placido Ondino kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. A collision led to Stronghold S.A getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Jacinto Lawrence hit a great ball. Sandro Mafra took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 91st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bartolo Chepe. Stronghold S.A's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Bartolo Chepe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gil Simões, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. 94 minutes into the match, Stronghold S.A's goal looked a bit too open when Leandro Falcão came free, but Bartolo Chepe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Stronghold S.A supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Stronghold S.A would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
