Hub Heida succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 7th playminute. In the 11th minute, Toto Schillaci left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The GUSESI fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After 14 played minutes GUSESI got a freekick which was hit by Isaias Rafe. Jean-Luc Ettori was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Paul Trip. Kelmond S.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave GUSESI the free kick. In the 19th match minute, Kelmond S.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ger Daems to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th match minute, GUSESI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Toto Schillaci to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in GUSESI's zone, Youri de Zaaijer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jean-Luc Ettori came out of the goal and Youri de Zaaijer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 34th minute, Kelmond S.C.'s Youri de Zaaijer dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. In the 36th minute, Ger Daems hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. GUSESI's Jean-Luc Ettori proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save GUSESI from getting a goal against them. Hub Heida could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Jean-Luc Ettori made a huge save. In the 44th minute Anibal Arotza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferry Schattenberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Youri de Zaaijer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind GUSESI's goalkeeper Jean-Luc Ettori, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hub Heida hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Toto Schillaci took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Ferry Schattenberg to make any attempt to save it. A collision led to GUSESI getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Anibal Arotza hit a great ball. In the 68th minute, Toto Schillaci ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ferry Schattenberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Justino Astigar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Ferry Schattenberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Justino Astigar scored 2-4 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ferry Schattenberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Kelmond S.C.'s Izaak Hofsteenge got a free kick in the 77th minute. Anibal Arotza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ferry Schattenberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toto Schillaci, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 86th minute Toto Schillaci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferry Schattenberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 93 minutes into the game, Youri de Zaaijer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-4. Jean-Luc Ettori was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. GUSESI's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
