In the 37th minute, Samurai's Olov Bäckström ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Călin Barbosu. Călin Barbosu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. In the 45th match minute, Raureni Academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Panait Voina to maneuver through the defense. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mattias Smefeldt to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Olov Bäckström had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Călin Barbosu. Raureni Academy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Olov Bäckström was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Panait Voina hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Călin Barbosu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 59 minutes, Mattias Smefeldt mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Samurai and the Raureni Academy players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 59th match minute, Samurai was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mattias Smefeldt to maneuver through the defense. The Samurai fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fredrik Bennet should have stopped the shot. Michael Haglund kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Raureni Academy's Panait Voina got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fredrik Bennet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Codruț Giurcă in the 75th minute of play. Raureni Academy's Călin Barbosu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olov Bäckström in the 77th minute of play. Călin Barbosu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mattias Smefeldt's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Costică Popa during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Mattias Smefeldt was shown his second yellow card after 83 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Mattias Smefeldt hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Victor Muscaș sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Raureni Academy booed when Samurai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roger Kalfhage didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Victor Muscaș came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Raureni Academy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victor Muscaș couldn't finish the play.
