Santo Cayo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gitano Cano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Santo Cayo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gitano Cano's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. Santo Cayo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alvaro Rello, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Emilio Leheren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Salvatore Eugenio having to interfere. Freddy Franco hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. In the 12th minute Rexino Astera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santo Cayo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Club de la Serpiente's Santo Cayo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rexino Astera in the 12th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gitano Cano in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Santo Cayo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lehen Urrejola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santo Cayo having to interfere. 21 minutes into the match, Club de la Serpiente's goal looked a bit too open when Rexino Astera came free, but Santo Cayo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristo Cordeal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Salvatore Eugenio having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Gitano Cano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Unikurdos United F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Gitano Cano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Santo Cayo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 29 minutes of play, Unikurdos United F.C.'s Alvaro Rello made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Santo Cayo was left in no man's land by his defense there! 35 minutes into the game, Unikurdos United F.C.'s Rexino Astera nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Santo Cayo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Emilio Leheren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Freddy Franco to make the kick off. After 51 minutes of play, Club de la Serpiente's Freddy Franco made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Salvatore Eugenio was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Gitano Cano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd match minute, Unikurdos United F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alvaro Rello to maneuver through the defense. Unikurdos United F.C.'s Salvatore Eugenio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristo Cordeal in the 65th minute of play. Gitano Cano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 69th match minute, Club de la Serpiente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herminio Barrionuevo to maneuver through the defense. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 70th minute, but Santo Cayo got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Club de la Serpiente hanging dry this time. After a defensive mix-up in Club de la Serpiente's zone, Gitano Cano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santo Cayo came out of the goal and Gitano Cano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gitano Cano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Santo Cayo made a huge save. Santo Cayo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rexino Astera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Salvatore Eugenio came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Club de la Serpiente's Freddy Franco. But to his dismay, Freddy Franco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Freddy Franco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Salvatore Eugenio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 93rd minute, Elequemedo Teberga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 97th minute, Unikurdos United F.C.'s Blas Bolantin seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Blas Bolantin the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Unikurdos United F.C. protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Blas Bolantin had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 96 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Unikurdos United F.C.! The referee gave Club de la Serpiente a penalty, 98 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Rafael Cordero, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Unikurdos United F.C.'s Salvatore Eugenio. 3-2. Club de la Serpiente's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
