The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Johannes Torstensson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Folker Ubels made a huge save. In the 8th minute Reinhard Braamhaar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Staffan Lind saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Staffan Lind showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reinhard Braamhaar, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. When the match clock showed 13 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Edwin Aukes sped through Linköpings AIK's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Staffan Lind. In the 19th minute Ton Janus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Staffan Lind saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Inge Godholm hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. 22 minutes into the match, Lemel SV's Ton Janus sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Staffan Lind narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Staffan Lind showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ton Janus, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. After some careless play in the Linköpings AIK defense, Ton Janus kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Staffan Lind. The Linköpings AIK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Staffan Lind should have stopped the shot. In the 27thth minute of the game Reinhard Braamhaar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Linköpings AIK's Staffan Lind was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 29 minutes into the match, Bengt-Åke Thidén dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Folker Ubels, 1-2. If Ton Janus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Staffan Lind came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Lemel SV's Sjoerd Bosschaart. But to his dismay, Sjoerd Bosschaart quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Staffan Lind showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dave Greef, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. A collision led to Linköpings AIK getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Oscar Simonsson hit a great ball. Johannes Torstensson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Folker Ubels made a huge save. Bengt-Åke Thidén received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Folker Ubels tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Folker Ubels didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Greger Jonasson went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. After the first half Lemel SV were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edwin Aukes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Staffan Lind was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Dave Greef showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-4 in the 51 minute of play. 55 minutes into the match, Linköpings AIK's goalkeeper Staffan Lind had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edwin Aukes. Staffan Lind made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edwin Aukes in the 57th minute of play. Staffan Lind made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dave Greef in the 60th minute of play. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Staffan Lind showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Edwin Aukess short, quick shot in the 69thth minute got Staffan Lind to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Edwin Aukes in the 69thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Staffan Lind, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The audience was convinced that Bengt-Åke Thidén's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Folker Ubels was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Staffan Lind made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Ton Janus sent off a good shot on target. Staffan Lind was a little too slow when Dave Greef got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 73rd minute. The score was now 2-6. After a rather tough play, Lemel SV's Philip Traa got a free kick in the 76th minute. Reinhard Braamhaar took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Staffan Lind. Staffan Lind dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-7. When the match had been going on for 83 minutes, Lemel SV's Rinus Zoontjens got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Staffan Lind. 88 minutes into the match, Linköpings AIK's goalkeeper Staffan Lind had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ton Janus. In the 91st minute, Edwin Aukes reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Staffan Lind. The goal made the score 2-9. 98 minutes into the match, Linköpings AIK's goalkeeper Staffan Lind had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edwin Aukes. The Lemel SV players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
