After 4 minutes, Barnaba Winnicki mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the JUNICO Ełk and the Academica Pulheim players grew even worse after the yellow card. Artur Zapolskih was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 10th minute, Wit Jenkot fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Dariusz Wieberneit stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mariusz Plaski's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. 17 minutes into the match, Mariusz Plaski notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Academica Pulheim's Dariusz Wieberneit. Dariusz Wieberneit was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 20 minutes into the match, Academica Pulheim's goal looked a bit too open when Mariusz Plaski came free, but Dariusz Wieberneit reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariusz Plaski in the 20th minute of play forced Academica Pulheim's goalkeeper Dariusz Wieberneit to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute of the match Academica Pulheim got a corner. JUNICO Ełk's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Noel Schaffert ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Academica Pulheim's corner Noel Schaffert fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Artur Zapolskih quite easily take care of the ball. Dariusz Wieberneit made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Mariusz Plaski sent off a good shot on target. Roman Biehlert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artur Zapolskih having to interfere. In the 38th minute Roman Biehlert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artur Zapolskih saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of JUNICO Ełk booed when Academica Pulheim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gunther Daun didn't get a good kick on the ball. 45 minutes into the game, one of Academica Pulheim:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave JUNICO Ełk a penalty, 46 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Leon Galaska, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Academica Pulheim's Dariusz Wieberneit. 2-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Academica Pulheim's Michael Paziorek was substituted for Hadrian Greilinger. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mariusz Plaski was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to JUNICO Ełk getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Mariusz Plaski hit a great ball. Academica Pulheim's Barnabas Rogge was substituted for Christoph Sönksen. After a rather tough play, JUNICO Ełk's Mariusz Plaski got a free kick in the 59th minute. Barnabas Rogge took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Artur Zapolskih. Artur Zapolskih dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Dariusz Wieberneit showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fryderyk Krzynowek in the 65th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Fryderyk Krzynowek's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dariusz Wieberneit was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. In the 76th minute, Mariusz Plaski made a precise shot to the right of Dariusz Wieberneit. Academica Pulheim's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. Kacper Lewicki charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kacper Lewicki the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, JUNICO Ełk's Kacper Lewicki got a free kick in the 87th minute. When JUNICO Ełk's Mariusz Plaski in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Academica Pulheim's goalie prevented a goal. Dariusz Wieberneit made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariusz Plaski in the 95th minute of play.
