The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Trattnig got free with Diego Vargas in the 2nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Diego Vargas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Trattnig in the 16th minute of play. Mercado Paulista F.C's Diego Vargas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Till-Julius Spengler in the 17th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Daniel Trattnig had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Diego Vargas. Mercado Paulista F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Trattnig was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Diego Vargas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Till-Julius Spengler in the 24th minute of play. Ramon Shantala took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Klaus-Dieter Beimel. Klaus-Dieter Beimel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Klaus-Dieter Beimel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramon Shantala, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Till-Julius Spengler received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Diego Vargas came out and tried to block the shot, but Till-Julius Spengler slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 38th minute. Klaus-Dieter Beimel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albino Asteri in the 47th minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Albino Asteri notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of FV Wienerwald's Klaus-Dieter Beimel. Klaus-Dieter Beimel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Harald Delb made a kick off. After 53 played minutes, FV Wienerwald's Robin-Pascal Rohrschneider shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Diego Vargas came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FV Wienerwald reached it. In the 61st minute, Jo Jani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, FV Wienerwald's Bastian Buchwalder got a free kick in the 62nd minute. FV Wienerwald made a substitution. Nickolas Kaiser replaced Jörg Wipplinger. In the 63rd match minute, FV Wienerwald was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bastian Buchwalder to maneuver through the defense. 64 minutes into the match, Mercado Paulista F.C's Elvio Illart broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 70th minute Tommi Braun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diego Vargas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 79 minutes into the match, Mercado Paulista F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Till-Julius Spengler came free, but Diego Vargas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 83 minutes, Till-Julius Spengler mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FV Wienerwald and the Mercado Paulista F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 83rd minute, Till-Julius Spengler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FV Wienerwald's Ole Michalowicz was substituted for Tommi Braun. Till-Julius Spengler hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. In the 92nd minute, Daniel Trattnig made a precise shot to the right of Diego Vargas. Mercado Paulista F.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. Diego Vargas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ole Michalowicz in the 95th minute of play. Björn Bassen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Diego Vargas having to make a save.
