Ramon Shantala's late challenge caught a Academica Pulheim's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ramon Shantala helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Academica Pulheim booed when Mercado Paulista F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramon Shantala didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gunther Daun recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Academica Pulheim booed when Mercado Paulista F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. German Laurentzi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dariusz Wieberneit showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armando Rosalio in the 27th minute of the match. Dariusz Wieberneit took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Inocencio Matai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Armando Rosalio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 43 minutes into the match, Academica Pulheim's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Rosalio came free, but Dariusz Wieberneit reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Diego Vargas took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 44th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dariusz Wieberneit. Academica Pulheim's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.

In the 72nd match minute, Mercado Paulista F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramon Shantala to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Armando Rosalio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mercado Paulista F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Armando Rosalio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dariusz Wieberneit breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 78th match minute, Academica Pulheim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michael Paziorek to maneuver through the defense. Dariusz Wieberneit was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Ramon Shantala. After 85 played minutes Academica Pulheim got a freekick which was hit by Jacek Gerster. When Mercado Paulista F.C's Armando Rosalio in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Academica Pulheim's goalie prevented a goal. With a little luck, Academica Pulheim's Dariusz Wieberneit got control of the ball when Armando Rosalio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
