Spectators: 7784 (Terracing: 5839, Seating: 1790, VIP seats: 155) Noel Schaffert started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 3 minutes into the game, Stefan Winitzki was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Academica Pulheim's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FV Wienerwald the free kick. In the 3rd match minute, Academica Pulheim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stefan Winitzki to maneuver through the defense. Dariusz Wieberneit made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harald Delb in the 4th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Academica Pulheim's Hadrian Greilinger got a free kick in the 9th minute. 11 minutes into the match, Ole Michalowicz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dariusz Wieberneit. Academica Pulheim's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ole Michalowicz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Klaus-Dieter Beimel was a little too slow when Noel Schaffert got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 14th minute. The score was now 1-1. In the 20th minute, one of FV Wienerwald:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FV Wienerwald. Noel Schaffert scored 2-1 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Klaus-Dieter Beimel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 24 minutes, Christoph Sönksen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Academica Pulheim's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christoph Sönksen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 31st minute, Bastian Buchwalder hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Klaus-Dieter Beimel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Noel Schaffert in the 35th minute of the match. Roman Biehlert's late challenge caught a FV Wienerwald's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roman Biehlert helped the player get up and apologised. In the 35th minute, Roman Biehlert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dariusz Wieberneit stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ole Michalowicz's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ole Michalowicz made a kick off. With his leg Dariusz Wieberneit managed to avoid a goal in the 53rdth minute, when FV Wienerwald's Ole Michalowicz fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A nice corner shot did that Nickolas Kaiser got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Dariusz Wieberneit quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Academica Pulheim made a substitution. Barnabas Rogge replaced Christoph Sönksen. Noel Schaffert scored 3-2 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Klaus-Dieter Beimel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Felix Eberl kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Bastian Buchwalder kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Ole Michalowicz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dariusz Wieberneit having to interfere. Jacek Thierse was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 90 minutes into the match. Nickolas Kaiser struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Dariusz Wieberneit didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FV Wienerwald. When FV Wienerwald's Ole Michalowicz in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Academica Pulheim's goalie prevented a goal. When Dominik Zintl fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Academica Pulheim's protests and gave Dominik Zintl a yellow card for diving instead. In the 98th minute, Dominik Zintl hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Academica Pulheim had played much better football throughout.
