Spectators: 7719 (Terracing: 5790, Seating: 1775, VIP seats: 154) Mercado Paulista F.C's Ramon Shantala started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ramon Tancredo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Noel Schaffert in the 4th minute of the match. 7 minutes into the match, Noel Schaffert notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Mercado Paulista F.C's Ramon Tancredo. Ramon Tancredo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ramon Tancredo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christoph Sönksen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Academica Pulheim's Dominik Zintl got a free kick in the 18th minute. Academica Pulheim's Dariusz Wieberneit played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sergio Burni in the 19th minute of play. If Ramon Shantala had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 25 played minutes Academica Pulheim got a freekick which was hit by Burkhard van de Sand. Albino Asteri's late challenge caught a Academica Pulheim's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Albino Asteri helped the player get up and apologised. Albino Asteri kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sergio Burni during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Academica Pulheim booed when Mercado Paulista F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sergio Burni didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dariusz Wieberneit showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from German Laurentzi in the 38th minute of the match. In the 40th match minute, Mercado Paulista F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bishen Cholas to maneuver through the defense. Stefan Winitzki recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Mercado Paulista F.C defense, Roman Biehlert kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ramon Tancredo. The Mercado Paulista F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ramon Tancredo should have stopped the shot. Dariusz Wieberneit took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from German Laurentzi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Noel Schaffert stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Elvio Illart kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Albino Asteri took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 55th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dariusz Wieberneit. Academica Pulheim's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 58 minutes, Jacek Gerster mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Academica Pulheim and the Mercado Paulista F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Academica Pulheim getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Ramon Tancredo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Noel Schaffert showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 62 minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, Mercado Paulista F.C's goalkeeper Ramon Tancredo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arnd Freye. After 67 played minutes Academica Pulheim got a freekick which was hit by Jacek Thierse. Ramon Tancredo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnd Freye, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Academica Pulheim's Noel Schaffert got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 93rd minute German Laurentzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dariusz Wieberneit saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dariusz Wieberneit showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from German Laurentzi, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. After 96 played minutes Mercado Paulista F.C got a freekick which was hit by Elvio Illart. Bishen Top kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. Ramon Tancredo was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 98th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Noel Schaffert. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Academica Pulheim eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
