Cauan Arce's late challenge caught a MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cauan Arce helped the player get up and apologised. In the 6th match minute, Joinville United - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cauan Arce to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Costel Vlas during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Costel Vlas hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. In the 14th minute of the match Rafa Santos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nichifor Badea skillfully saved the ball. Joinville United - FSCMZ's João Pedro Rodrigues played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Răzvan Moșneanu in the 21st minute of play. Caetano Travassos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 30 minutes into the game, Viorel Burdea was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Joinville United - FSCMZ the free kick. Viorel Burdea hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. When Serafim Paraíba came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Joinville United - FSCMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Serafim Paraíba couldn't finish the play. 35 minutes into the game, Răzvan Moșneanu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. João Pedro Rodrigues was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Joinville United - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Cauan Arce hit a great ball. 39 minutes into the match, Joinville United - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Costin Frânculescu came free, but João Pedro Rodrigues reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Răzvan Moșneanu scored 0-2 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of João Pedro Rodrigues, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Joinville United - FSCMZ players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV were winning 0-2.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Serafim Paraíba in the 52nd minute of play forced MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's goalkeeper Nichifor Badea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Răzvan Moșneanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 56 played minutes Joinville United - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Claudinei Couto. Nichifor Badea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caetano Travassos in the 58th minute of the match. When Caetano Travassos came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Joinville United - FSCMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Caetano Travassos couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Joinville United - FSCMZ booed when MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Costin Frânculescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 67th minute, Costel Vlas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 89th minute Costel Vlas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Pedro Rodrigues saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nichifor Badea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serafim Paraíba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
