Joinville United - FSCMZ's Caetano Travassos suffered a sprained foot after 87 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adolfo Policarpio during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Joinville United - FSCMZ booed when Independiente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adolfo Policarpio didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Joinville United - FSCMZ supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Joinville United - FSCMZ would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
