The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Joinville United - FSCMZ's Claudinei Couto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eustacio Piearres narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Berutti FC's Tadeo Sal got a free kick in the 5th minute. Eustacio Piearres was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Rafa Santos. If Tadeo Sal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Caetano Travassos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eustacio Piearres was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. After 24 played minutes Berutti FC got a freekick which was hit by Bernardo Eli. Eustacio Piearres came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Joinville United - FSCMZ's Claudinei Couto. But to his dismay, Claudinei Couto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Serafim Paraíba in the 32ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Eustacio Piearres, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The audience was convinced that Serafim Paraíba's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eustacio Piearres was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. In the 37th match minute, Joinville United - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elivélton Nóbrega to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Berutti FC's Serafin James got a free kick in the 39th minute. Caetano Travassos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eustacio Piearres made an important save on a dangerous shot by Serafim Paraíba in the 43rd minute. After some careless play in the Berutti FC defense, Serafim Paraíba kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eustacio Piearres. The Berutti FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eustacio Piearres should have stopped the shot.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Haroldo Edur stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Joinville United - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Domingo Vachon came free, but João Pedro Rodrigues reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eustacio Piearres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Serafim Paraíba in the 52nd minute of the match.
