Narciso Froylan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olaf Eesti, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Teofilo Milian to make the kick off. Elmut Saidla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oscar Urki in the 87th minute of the match. In the 88th minute Martin Mustikas suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Filomeno Arotza during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of FC Dundee booed when Papillon AC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position.
