Spectators: 7737 (Terracing: 5804, Seating: 1779, VIP seats: 154) Mariano Gorosti started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. A collision led to Independiente getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Teobaldo Casomiro hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Independiente's Adolfo Policarpio got a free kick in the 8th minute. Independiente's Jaime Havier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Costel Vlas in the 11th minute of play. In the 13thth minute of the game Costin Frânculescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Independiente's Jaime Havier was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Guaberto Chorche put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Calistrat Prislop. 23 minutes into the match, Independiente's Mariano Gorosti sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Calistrat Prislop narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 24th minute Independiente were awarded a corner. Nestor Erdiano went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Independiente's Nestor Erdiano to fire away a dangerous shot which Calistrat Prislop despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Mariano Gorosti took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Calistrat Prislop. Calistrat Prislop dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. With a little luck, MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's Calistrat Prislop got control of the ball when Mariano Gorosti tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Independiente's Teobaldo Casomiro got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Jaime Havier stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Costel Vlas's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Mariano Gorosti was extremely unlucky when he, in the 39th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Jaime Havier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Costel Vlas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th minute, Costin Frânculescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Costel Vlas to make the kick off. Independiente's Guaberto Chorche got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Calistrat Prislop made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Gorosti in the 57th minute of play. In the 61st minute, Costel Vlas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. In the 79th minute, Independiente's Generoso Inocente seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Generoso Inocente the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Independiente protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Generoso Inocente had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 80 played minutes Independiente got a freekick which was hit by Generoso Inocente. Jaime Havier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Costel Vlas in the 84th minute of play. When Froilan Iruinea fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Jaime Havier made an important save on a dangerous shot by Costel Vlas in the 91st minute. Calistrat Prislop showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Gorosti in the 93rd minute of the match. MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
