Karaboudjan's Jefferson do Vale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Mata in the 36th minute of play. 40 minutes into the game, Joaquim Nogueira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Jefferson do Vale was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Vitória StrikerS™ booed when Karaboudjan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dráusio Saraiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jefferson do Vale acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 45th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Joaquim Nogueira. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pedro Mata stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd match minute, Karaboudjan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aílton Simões to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pedro Mata in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jefferson do Vale prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hélio Paião fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jefferson do Vale having to interfere. After some careless play in the Karaboudjan defense, Pedro Mata kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jefferson do Vale. The Karaboudjan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jefferson do Vale should have stopped the shot. Jefferson do Vale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Mata, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hélio Paião kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. A collision led to Vitória StrikerS™ getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Joaquim Nogueira hit a great ball.
