Spectators: 7749 (Terracing: 5813, Seating: 1782, VIP seats: 154) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Pedro Mata started the match with the kick off. Albérico Santarém scored 0-1 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jimmie Ek, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 7th minute Pedro Mata shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jimmie Ek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gustaf Brummer took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Júlio Lemos. Jimmie Ek was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jimmie Ek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Álvaro Pinheiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Júlio Lemos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sten Hernström in the 21st minute. Björn Bröms sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Karl-Michael Jansson to strike the kick off in the second half.
