Syd Barret started the match with the kick off. A collision led to IGUIPORÃ FC getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Jardel Félix hit a great ball. The throw-in from Marcos Cesário in the 8th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by IGUIPORÃ FC's Elivélton Cerezo. After 12 played minutes IGUIPORÃ FC got a freekick which was hit by Michel Amorim. In the 14th minute, Syd Barret made a precise shot to the right of Basílio Veloso. IGUIPORÃ FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Basílio Veloso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Syd Barret, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. After 22 played minutes Tasso FC got a freekick which was hit by Nuno Leão. Marcos Cesário hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. In the 29th minute, Váldson Dias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the IGUIPORÃ FC defense, Syd Barret kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Basílio Veloso. The IGUIPORÃ FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Basílio Veloso should have stopped the shot. Basílio Veloso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diego Mendonça in the 34th minute of the match. Basílio Veloso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Syd Barret in the 35th minute of play. After 37 minutes of play, Tasso FC's Syd Barret made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Basílio Veloso was left in no man's land by his defense there! 42 minutes into the game, Michel Amorim cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Zeferino Távora was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nuno Leão kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Antônio Carlos Soares was the one to do the kick off. Zeferino Távora showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reynaldo Valle, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. In the 52nd match minute, IGUIPORÃ FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Váldson Dias to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Tasso FC defense, Michel Amorim kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zeferino Távora. The Tasso FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zeferino Távora should have stopped the shot. If Patrício Tomé had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, IGUIPORÃ FC's Basílio Veloso got control of the ball when Nuno Leão tried to sneak it across the goal line. 68 minutes into the game, Syd Barret recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Basílio Veloso. Syd Barret showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-4. Jardel Félix lost his temper 74 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. IGUIPORÃ FC's Luiz Fabiano Barreto was substituted for Reynaldo Valle. After a rather tough play, IGUIPORÃ FC's Váldson Dias got a free kick in the 77th minute. 78 minutes into the match, Rui Pacheco sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Basílio Veloso threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Rui Pacheco this time. Diego Mendonça scored 3-5 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Basílio Veloso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 91 minutes into the match, Luiz Fabiano Barreto notched a goal, 4-5, to the right of Tasso FC's Zeferino Távora. Zeferino Távora was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 93rd minute, Eduardo Barral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 96th minute, Tasso FC's Nuno Leão dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-6. Tasso FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
