TAQUARI FC's David Freitas couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 18th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Litoral EC - CIMZ. Jano Neves made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elias Paulista in the 25th minute. In the 29th minute, Valdir Peres ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Paulo José Campidelis was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. TAQUARI FC's Cristian Couto got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 41st minute, Sílvio Sena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jano Neves made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Joélson de Lima sent off a good shot on target. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardinho Vander in the 55th minute of play forced TAQUARI FC's goalkeeper Jano Neves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 57 minutes of play, Litoral EC - CIMZ's Elias Paulista made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jano Neves was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Elias Paulista in the 70th minute of play forced TAQUARI FC's goalkeeper Jano Neves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jano Neves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elias Paulista in the 72nd minute of play. Jano Neves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elias Paulista in the 78th minute of the match.
