The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Filip Adelsköld hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. 6 minutes into the match, Garphyttan's goal looked a bit too open when Adriano Soares came free, but Brian Fribäck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 9th minute Adriano Soares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brian Fribäck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Garphyttan's Ingvar Wennerqvist got a free kick in the 13th minute. TAQUARI FC's Jano Neves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filip Adelsköld in the 18th minute of play. In the 23rd match minute, TAQUARI FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Couto to maneuver through the defense. Lars Vennerberg hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. In the 26th minute of the match Carlos Fernando Ramalho shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Brian Fribäck showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 27thth minute of the game Cristian Couto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Garphyttan's Brian Fribäck was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Iuri Simões was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 28 minutes into the match. After 29 played minutes TAQUARI FC got a freekick which was hit by Iuri Simões. Jano Neves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olof Dalberg in the 30th minute of play. Arvin Löfdahl's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jano Neves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Jano Neves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filip Adelsköld in the 47th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when David Freitas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Brian Fribäck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Freitas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brian Fribäck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Couto, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. The supporters of Garphyttan booed when TAQUARI FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Fernando Ramalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ingvar Wennerqvist took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jano Neves. Jano Neves dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After 67 played minutes Garphyttan got a freekick which was hit by Filip Adelsköld. TAQUARI FC's Felipe Munhoz was substituted for Valdir Peres. The supporters of TAQUARI FC booed when Garphyttan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filip Adelsköld didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adriano Soares hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. 74 minutes into the match, TAQUARI FC's goalkeeper Jano Neves had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Filip Adelsköld. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Olof Dalberg during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 75th minute, Olof Dalberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Couto in the 90th minute of play forced Garphyttan's goalkeeper Brian Fribäck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 91 minutes into the match, Filip Adelsköld had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jano Neves. TAQUARI FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Filip Adelsköld was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Garphyttan had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
