Váldson da Silveira kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Jano Neves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Norberto Cristofor in the 6th minute of the match. Freddy Primo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Jano Neves made a huge save. If Valdir Peres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cristian Couto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emiliano Urdin having to interfere. Emiliano Urdin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adriano Soares went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 22nd minute, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Tomas Avellaneda ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jano Neves. Jano Neves yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Avellaneda got free with Jano Neves in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jano Neves made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Avellaneda in the 33rd minute. The TAQUARI FC fans' excitement grew in the 40th match minute when TAQUARI FC's Adriano Soares looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Emiliano Urdin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Couto went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Norberto Cristofor was the one to do the kick off. After 53 played minutes TAQUARI FC got a freekick which was hit by Adriano Soares. After 55 played minutes ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA got a freekick which was hit by Freddy Primo. In the 63rd match minute, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Avellaneda to maneuver through the defense. 69 minutes into the game, Iuri Simões was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. TAQUARI FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA the free kick. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Norberto Cristofor couldn't finish the play. Emiliano Urdin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Couto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Felipe Munhoz kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Jano Neves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pablo Madera in the 86th minute of play. Adriano Soares could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Emiliano Urdin made a huge save. The supporters of TAQUARI FC booed when ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Perez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adriano Soares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Emiliano Urdin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adriano Soares in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emiliano Urdin saved ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA from getting behind. Adriano Soares in the 96thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Emiliano Urdin, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.
