After a rather tough play, Leicester Lions's Nathan Leyburn got a free kick in the 2nd minute. When Patar Manuputty fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored 9 Lurah's protests and gave Patar Manuputty a yellow card for diving instead. Patar Manuputty kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Vic Burrows kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Gerry Neville showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iram Karundeng, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. If Iram Karundeng had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience was convinced that Iram Karundeng's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gerry Neville was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Iram Karundeng might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gerry Neville. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Iram Karundeng ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 26th minute, Nathan Leyburn left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Leicester Lions fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. The supporters of Leicester Lions booed when 9 Lurah was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diding Suseno didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Warren Hardcastle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Nicolas Habibie fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored 9 Lurah's protests and gave Nicolas Habibie a yellow card for diving instead. In the 33rd match minute, 9 Lurah was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicolas Habibie to maneuver through the defense. In the 34th minute of the match, Nathan Leyburn tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Krisna Sinurat saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Leicester Lions's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Vic Burrows in the 35th minute. Krisna Sinurat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronan Walls in the 36th minute of play. A collision led to 9 Lurah getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Umar Rumba hit a great ball. Gerry Neville took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arul Zumardi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Felix Bacon kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. In the 46th minute, Charles Arsah hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Iram Karundeng was the one to do the kick off. Gerry Neville made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cliff Fingkreuw in the 53rd minute of play. Leicester Lions's Gerry Neville proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Leicester Lions from getting a goal against them. In the 62nd match minute, 9 Lurah was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cliff Fingkreuw to maneuver through the defense. 67 minutes into the game, Felix Bacon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Leicester Lions's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave 9 Lurah the free kick. Felix Bacon kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. 9 Lurah made a substitution. Cornel Kuswoyo replaced Rendy Goeslaw. Peter Kitchen's late challenge caught a 9 Lurah's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Peter Kitchen helped the player get up and apologised. In the 79th minute, Peter Kitchen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 9 Lurah's Iram Karundeng couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 79th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Leicester Lions. Steven Al-Faruqi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Gerry Neville tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gerry Neville showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iram Karundeng in the 95th minute of the match. Leicester Lions's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
