When Gaston Jakue fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored DREAM TEAM WORLD's protests and gave Gaston Jakue a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to DREAM TEAM WORLD getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Gaston Jakue hit a great ball. Gerry Neville made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elpidio Llorian in the 30th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Elpidio Llorian during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Elpidio Llorian hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronan Walls in the 33rd minute of play forced DREAM TEAM WORLD's goalkeeper Nereo Juvenal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to DREAM TEAM WORLD getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Mauro Kemen hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ashley Hamilton in the 37th minute of play forced DREAM TEAM WORLD's goalkeeper Nereo Juvenal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Warren Hardcastle in the 44th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by DREAM TEAM WORLD's Mauro Kemen. Gaston Jakue recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half Leicester Lions were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Vic Burrows made the kick off in the second half. Flavio Favila's late challenge caught a Leicester Lions's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Flavio Favila helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, DREAM TEAM WORLD's Flavio Favila got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 58th minute Nathan Leyburn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nereo Juvenal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicasio Guipuzkoa hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Gerry Neville came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by DREAM TEAM WORLD's Gaston Jakue. But to his dismay, Gaston Jakue quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 73rd minute Nathan Leyburn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nereo Juvenal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Leicester Lions booed when DREAM TEAM WORLD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niceto Montae didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gerry Neville showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaston Jakue, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. 89 minutes into the match, Leicester Lions's goal looked a bit too open when Elpidio Llorian came free, but Gerry Neville reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vic Burrows came free with the goalkeeper in the 90th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Nereo Juvenal could save by the left post. Beinn Medley charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Beinn Medley the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
