Spectators: 7787 (Terracing: 5841, Seating: 1791, VIP seats: 155) Mircea Creangă started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Walmir Dias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Aluncai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Traian Lupescu in the 4th minute of play forced Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s goalkeeper Walmir Dias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stiinta-Univ.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mircea Creangă in the 5th minute. Stiinta-Univ.'s Dorel Codin was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Walmir Dias in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Paulo Botelho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Felix Ghee tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adrianinho Furtado took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Felix Ghee. Felix Ghee dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 21st match minute, Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ® was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gernando dos Santos to maneuver through the defense. After 24 minutes, Manuel Aluncai made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s Walmir Dias tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Walmir Dias stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Manuel Aluncai's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Dênis Valle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some careless play in the Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ® defense, Mircea Creangă kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Walmir Dias. The Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ® fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Walmir Dias should have stopped the shot. In the 45th match minute, Stiinta-Univ. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dorel Codin to maneuver through the defense. If Adrianinho Furtado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After a rather tough play, Stiinta-Univ.'s Traian Lupescu got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Felix Ghee made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dênis Valle in the 58th minute of play. Dênis Valle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felix Ghee having to interfere. Felix Ghee showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dênis Valle, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Dorel Codin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mircea Creangă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Stiinta-Univ.'s Horaţiu Corduneanu got a free kick in the 91st minute. In the 95th minute, Dênis Valle left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ® fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2.
