Prudencio Onofre started the match with the kick off. 9 minutes into the match, Pegale De Puntín's goal looked a bit too open when Mircea Creangă came free, but Osvaldo Iratze reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th minute of the match, Mircea Creangă tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Osvaldo Iratze saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 16 minutes in the game Maxim Dragalina did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Mircea Creangă. Felix Ghee made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Azeari in the 18th minute of play. In the 30th minute Prudencio Onofre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felix Ghee saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Prudencio Onofre in the 30th minute of play forced Stiinta-Univ.'s goalkeeper Felix Ghee to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felix Ghee made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Prudencio Onofre in the 33rd minute of play. After 42 minutes, Teobaldo Benvido mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pegale De Puntín and the Stiinta-Univ. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Teobaldo Benvido hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Osvaldo Iratze acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 43rd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Mircea Creangă. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Mircea Creangă made the kick off in the second half. Horaţiu Corduneanu's late challenge caught a Pegale De Puntín's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Horaţiu Corduneanu helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Stiinta-Univ. getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Horaţiu Corduneanu hit a great ball. 55 minutes into the game, Ricardo Eleazar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pegale De Puntín's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stiinta-Univ. the free kick. A collision led to Pegale De Puntín getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Ricardo Eleazar hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Pegale De Puntín's Ricardo Eleazar got a free kick in the 57th minute. Sandu Negara charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sandu Negara the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 59th minute, Sandu Negara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 63 minutes, Mircea Creangă managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stiinta-Univ.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Mircea Creangă was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Pegale De Puntín defense, Mircea Creangă kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Osvaldo Iratze. The Pegale De Puntín fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Osvaldo Iratze should have stopped the shot. If Sandu Negara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sandu Negara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sandu Negara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Osvaldo Iratze tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 80 minutes into the match, Stiinta-Univ.'s goal looked a bit too open when Prudencio Onofre came free, but Felix Ghee reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 89th minute, Alberto Xabier got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Osvaldo Iratze showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sandu Negara in the 92nd minute of the match. 94 minutes had been played when some careless play by Pegale De Puntín's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mircea Creangă was slow to take the kick. During this time Stiinta-Univ.'s players had a chance to rest. Sandu Negara made a great header on Stiinta-Univ.'s corner, it was just that Pegale De Puntín's Osvaldo Iratze managed to reach the ball for a save. Stiinta-Univ. walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
