Seraċini Għawdxin's Dejan Cumbo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cayetano Borras in the 3rd minute of play. Dejan Cumbo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cayetano Borras, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Louis Mamo hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clayton Vella in the 26th minute of play forced Ajax Colombiano's goalkeeper Paulin Olmos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mark De Battista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Paulin Olmos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 30th minute Matias Zuñiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dejan Cumbo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Seraċini Għawdxin booed when Ajax Colombiano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Obano Trimiño didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Louis Mamo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Joe Petroni fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Seraċini Għawdxin's protests and gave Joe Petroni a yellow card for diving instead. Joe Petroni kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. In the 40th minute, Mitxaut Matias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Timothy Cini struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Seraċini Għawdxin's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ajax Colombiano the free kick. After some careless play in the Seraċini Għawdxin defense, Matias Zuñiga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dejan Cumbo. The Seraċini Għawdxin fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dejan Cumbo should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Clayton Vella kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Paulin Olmos. That made the score 2-1 in the 78 minute of play. After 81 played minutes Ajax Colombiano got a freekick which was hit by Waldir Castrillon. Timothy Cini could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Paulin Olmos made a huge save. 92 minutes into the match, Ajax Colombiano's goalkeeper Paulin Olmos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Clayton Vella. Timothy Cini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Ajax Colombiano had won after a very even match.
