Carlos Eduardo Correia charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. A collision led to Samurai Champions FC getting a freekick after 49 minutes play. Davi Loureiro hit a great ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tony Viana stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. During the 81st minute of the match André Luís Rossi completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave André Luís Rossi a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Alexsandro Netto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ben Moxon in the 95th minute of play. Samurai Champions FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
