Spectators: 7756 (Terracing: 5819, Seating: 1783, VIP seats: 154) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Clayton Vella kicked off to start the match. In the 11th match minute, Seraċini Għawdxin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joe Petroni to maneuver through the defense. Agostinho Borges spun around in front of the goal 13 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Seraċini Għawdxin's goal. After 16 played minutes Seraċini Għawdxin got a freekick which was hit by Joe Petroni. Vivaldo Munhoz took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Steve Rizzo. Steve Rizzo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Seraċini Għawdxin's Steve Rizzo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vivaldo Munhoz in the 21st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Seraċini Għawdxin's Clayton Vella got a free kick in the 23rd minute. The supporters of Goblins F.C. booed when Seraċini Għawdxin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mark De Battista didn't get a good kick on the ball. Steve Rizzo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zé Pedro Mendes in the 28th minute. Steve Rizzo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vivaldo Munhoz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 32 minutes into the match, Seraċini Għawdxin's goal looked a bit too open when Vivaldo Munhoz came free, but Steve Rizzo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Goblins F.C. booed when Seraċini Għawdxin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luca Sciberras didn't get a good kick on the ball. Steve Rizzo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vivaldo Munhoz in the 34th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Goblins F.C.'s Marquinhos de Andrade got a free kick in the 34th minute. Arnaldo de Carvalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Timothy Cini in the 40th minute of the match.

In the 53rd minute, Agostinho Borges got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Seraċini Għawdxin were furious when Reuben Caruana was red carded, 55 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 55 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Seraċini Għawdxin! In the 57th minute there was a penalty for Goblins F.C.. Waldemar Ramos stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Steve Rizzo. 2-0. When Goblins F.C.'s Vivaldo Munhoz in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Agostinho Borges's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Steve Rizzo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. In the 71st minute, Marquinhos de Andrade left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Goblins F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. A collision led to Goblins F.C. getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Waldemar Ramos hit a great ball. In the 80th minute, Zé Pedro Mendes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Steve Rizzo was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. After 86 minutes, Michael Cassar Overend mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Seraċini Għawdxin and the Goblins F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 85th minute, one of Seraċini Għawdxin:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Seraċini Għawdxin. In the 87th minute there was a penalty for Goblins F.C.. Waldemar Ramos stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Steve Rizzo. 5-0. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Goblins F.C. fans cheered their team off the field, for while Seraċini Għawdxin had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
