After 8 minutes, Kevin Pilgrim mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Coventry Wasps and the FC Maci -MM- players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dan Elwick showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mircea Marian in the 9th minute of the match. Ronnie Blakeley's late challenge caught a FC Maci -MM-'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ronnie Blakeley helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of FC Maci -MM- booed when Coventry Wasps was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronnie Blakeley didn't get a good kick on the ball. 12 minutes into the match, Coventry Wasps's goal looked a bit too open when Avram Terzian came free, but Dan Elwick reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to FC Maci -MM- getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Horea Cutieru hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Avram Terzian in the 23rd minute of play forced Coventry Wasps's goalkeeper Dan Elwick to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Lucas Bridgewater notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of FC Maci -MM-'s Iurie Balotă. Iurie Balotă was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Iurie Balotă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ben Moxon in the 35th minute of play. Mircea Marian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dan Elwick having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandr Alehin in the 44th minute of play forced Coventry Wasps's goalkeeper Dan Elwick to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Iordache Mortu was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 46 minutes into the match. After 49 played minutes FC Maci -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Iordache Mortu. Greg McMahon was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 50th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Avram Terzian made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Avram Terzian in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dan Elwick saved Coventry Wasps from getting behind. Through an outstanding action, after 57 minutes, Iurie Balotă successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Iurie Balotă made an important save on a dangerous shot by Justin Shuttleworth in the 59th minute. Iurie Balotă came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Coventry Wasps's Justin Shuttleworth. But to his dismay, Justin Shuttleworth quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Coventry Wasps made a substitution. Greg Corcoran replaced Kevin Pilgrim. Justin Shuttleworth came free with the goalkeeper in the 68th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Iurie Balotă could save by the left post. In the 70th minute, Justin Shuttleworth ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Iurie Balotă was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. The audience was convinced that Avram Terzian's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dan Elwick was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. With a little luck, FC Maci -MM-'s Iurie Balotă got control of the ball when Justin Shuttleworth tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to FC Maci -MM- getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Alexandr Alehin hit a great ball. Iurie Balotă showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ben Moxon in the 80th minute of the match. After 81 minutes of play, Coventry Wasps's Rick Arrowsmith made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Iurie Balotă was left in no man's land by his defense there! 84 minutes into the match, Coventry Wasps's goal looked a bit too open when Eugen Spoială came free, but Dan Elwick reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dan Elwick showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Avram Terzian, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Ben Moxon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iurie Balotă having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Coventry Wasps's Justin Shuttleworth got a free kick in the 91st minute. In the 92ndth minute of the game Avram Terzian who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Coventry Wasps's Dan Elwick was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 96th match minute, FC Maci -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Encuțoiu to maneuver through the defense. In the 98th minute, Mircea Marian hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Coventry Wasps's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
