Hernan Neriz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Boro Doro in the 18th minute of play. In the 23rd match minute, Batalionul U23 Dorobanti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Avram Panaiteanu to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 24 minutes, Ulizes Pruano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Borussia Dortmund's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ulizes Pruano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 28th minute, Isadoro Archibeque hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hernan Neriz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucian Baran, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 30th minute Lucian Baran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hernan Neriz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 33 played minutes Borussia Dortmund got a freekick which was hit by Javiero Menendez. Ion Chificeac didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alberto Tafoya went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Valiente Marino might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ion Chificeac. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Valiente Marino ran back to his position shaking his head. When Alberto Tafoya came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Borussia Dortmund fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Tafoya couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Borussia Dortmund getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Estebano Reganado hit a great ball. 46 minutes into the game, Batalionul U23 Dorobanti's Lucian Baran nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hernan Neriz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alberto Tafoya stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Estebano Reganado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ion Chificeac having to interfere. Octav Enciu's late challenge caught a Borussia Dortmund's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Octav Enciu helped the player get up and apologised. Ion Chificeac took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulizes Pruano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Javiero Menendez kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Borussia Dortmund's Hernan Neriz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Borussia Dortmund from getting a goal against them. Borussia Dortmund's defense didn't have a chance, in the 62nd minute, when Boro Doro scored to the left of an out of position Hernan Neriz, making the score, 1-2. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Boro Doro took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Hernan Neriz to make any attempt to save it. Ion Chificeac didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Demesio Tarapiella went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Lucian Baran could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Hernan Neriz made a huge save. Ulizes Pruano lost his temper 92 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card.
