Gilberto Godoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafoya, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. The supporters of Borussia Dortmund booed when Ricart Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilberto Godoi was out of position in the 63 minute of play, and Valiente Marino capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Valiente Marino really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. Agnaldo Paraíba kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Estebano Reganado in the 70th minute of play forced Ricart Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Gilberto Godoi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Marcos da Fonseca's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hernan Neriz was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. André Luís de Sena kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. If Valiente Marino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute.
