The supporters of Sabaneta FC booed when MIT was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eduard Culcer didn't get a good kick on the ball. 17 minutes into the match, Sabaneta FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eusebiu Siniştean came free, but Zacarias Sana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Sabaneta FC defense, Eusebiu Siniştean kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zacarias Sana. The Sabaneta FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zacarias Sana should have stopped the shot. Eusebiu Siniştean struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Zacarias Sana didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MIT. A collision led to MIT getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Victor Ioniță hit a great ball. MIT's Eduard Culcer quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Sidro Piciña, made in the 37th minute of the game. Sabaneta FC's Zacarias Sana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusebiu Siniştean in the 37th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, MIT's Eusebiu Siniştean sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zacarias Sana narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 47 minutes into the game, Maximo Lomba was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sabaneta FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MIT the free kick. Maximo Lomba kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. In the 49th minute Petre Prislop shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zacarias Sana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eusebiu Siniştean to make the kick off. Bahiano Sanchez was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 53 minutes into the match. After 53 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Sabaneta FC! In the 54th minute, the referee gave MIT a penalty. Eusebiu Siniştean looked confident and blasted the ball into goal by the left post, totally unstoppable for Zacarias Sana. Indalecio Larramendi hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. In the 64th match minute, MIT was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduard Culcer to maneuver through the defense. In the 65th minute of the match Clemente Ruy shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leonard Cutean showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 66th minute of the match Sabaneta FC got a corner. MIT's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Clemente Ruy ran over to the corner to take the kick. 68 minutes into the match, Sabaneta FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eusebiu Siniştean came free, but Zacarias Sana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eusebiu Siniştean in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zacarias Sana prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Victor Ioniță kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. If Eusebiu Siniştean had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Martin Topală during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Martin Topală hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. In the game's 89th minute Sabaneta FC's Clemente Ruy took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Leonard Cutean and thus the score was 1-2. MIT were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Sabaneta FC's much stronger midfield.
