Spectators: 7736 (Terracing: 5803, Seating: 1779, VIP seats: 154) Edelényi Bányász's Tamás Lőrincz started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the game, MIT's Eusebiu Siniştean nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kristóf Császár made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Kristóf Császár made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusebiu Siniştean in the 10th minute of play. The supporters of MIT booed when Edelényi Bányász was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tamás Lőrincz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute, Cristi Foltea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Géza Szigethy missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 25 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Iulian Burtea right hand side. 28 minutes into the match, Eusebiu Siniştean notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Edelényi Bányász's Kristóf Császár. Kristóf Császár was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 35th minute, MIT's Petre Prislop seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Petre Prislop the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of MIT protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Petre Prislop had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 37th minute, Géza Szigethy left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Edelényi Bányász fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. When the match clock showed 42 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Eusebiu Siniştean sped through Edelényi Bányász's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Kristóf Császár. MIT's Eusebiu Siniştean got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kristóf Császár showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eusebiu Siniştean in the 47th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Tamás Lőrincz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Edelényi Bányász's supporters rose to their feet, but Tamás Lőrincz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iulian Burtea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusebiu Siniştean in the 54th minute of play forced Edelényi Bányász's goalkeeper Kristóf Császár to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 57th minute of the match Géza Szigethy sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Iulian Burtea skillfully saved the ball. After 60 played minutes MIT got a freekick which was hit by Mădălin Corocăescu. Edelényi Bányász's Kristóf Császár played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcel Pătrășconiu in the 62nd minute of play. Marcel Pătrășconiu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 64thth minute tested the skills of Kristóf Császár when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The MIT fans' excitement grew in the 64th match minute when MIT's Marcel Pătrășconiu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Eusebiu Siniştean scored 1-5 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kristóf Császár, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 75th minute Tamás Lőrincz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iulian Burtea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcel Pătrășconiu hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Iulian Burtea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tamás Lőrincz, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. 83 minutes into the match, MIT's goal looked a bit too open when Tamás Lőrincz came free, but Iulian Burtea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 85 minutes had been played when some careless play by MIT's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Géza Szigethy was slow to take the kick. During this time Edelényi Bányász's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Edelényi Bányász's corner Géza Szigethy fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Iulian Burtea quite easily take care of the ball. If Nichifor Mara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. MIT had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
