Deivid Rosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Indalecio Larramendi in the 8th minute of the match. Arlindo Freire could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Zacarias Sana made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Cactos's zone, Maraman Bances stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Deivid Rosa came out of the goal and Maraman Bances tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Indalecio Larramendi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Deivid Rosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A hard shot 26 in the game by Franklin Leite from a close distance when the talented Zacarias Sana managed to make a qualified save. Sabaneta FC's players were relieved. The audience thought a goal was coming when Franklin Leite got free with Zacarias Sana in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Through an outstanding action, after 31 minutes, Zacarias Sana successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 32nd match minute, Sabaneta FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lesardo Gaztañondo to maneuver through the defense. Arlindo Freire hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. In the 40th minute Gugu Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zacarias Sana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arlindo Freire's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 44thth minute, Zacarias Sana skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After some careless play in the Sabaneta FC defense, Franklin Leite kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zacarias Sana. The Sabaneta FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zacarias Sana should have stopped the shot. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Cactos's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Amílton Paulista in the 56th minute. 61 minutes into the match, Jonatan Mocellar notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Cactos's Deivid Rosa. Deivid Rosa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cactos made a substitution. Diguinho de Toledo replaced Ronaldão Trevisan. Zacarias Sana stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Diguinho de Toledo's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. Franklin Leite kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. After 75 played minutes Sabaneta FC got a freekick which was hit by Manu Agostino. When Cactos's Franklin Leite in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sabaneta FC's goalie prevented a goal. Deivid Rosa made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Lesardo Gaztañondo sent off a good shot on target. Zacarias Sana stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Franklin Leite's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. In the 88th minute, Gugu Montenegro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zacarias Sana was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Franklin Leite fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zacarias Sana having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Cactos fans cheered their team off the field, for while Sabaneta FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
