Justino Telesforo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lesardo Gaztañondo in the 20th minute of play. Maximo Lomba charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The supporters of PauoL & The Queen booed when Sabaneta FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Indalecio Larramendi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in PauoL & The Queen's zone, Lesardo Gaztañondo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Justino Telesforo came out of the goal and Lesardo Gaztañondo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 43 minutes into the match, PauoL & The Queen's goal looked a bit too open when Lesardo Gaztañondo came free, but Justino Telesforo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute there was a penalty for Sabaneta FC. Clemente Ruy stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Justino Telesforo. 0-1. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Fabricio Chesus made the kick off in the second half. Damian Eguntsenti's late challenge caught a Sabaneta FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
