Isidro Gomez kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Isidro Gomez's late challenge caught a Oiteiras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Isidro Gomez helped the player get up and apologised. In the 11th match minute, Aves Negras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isidro Gomez to maneuver through the defense. In the 13th match minute, Aves Negras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicanor Rolado to maneuver through the defense. In the 14th minute, Oiteiras's João de Carvalho ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Denis Abar. Denis Abar yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Duda Capixaba blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Denis Abar having to make a save. Denis Abar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of João de Carvalho's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leo Lawrence in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arnaldo Bezerra prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Oiteiras's zone, Isidro Gomez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnaldo Bezerra came out of the goal and Isidro Gomez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Afonso Penha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th minute, Jânio de Castro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Jimeno Mino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aves Negras's supporters rose to their feet, but Jimeno Mino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnaldo Bezerra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With 39 minutes on the clock, Edelmiro Garikoitz commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After some careless play in the Aves Negras defense, Edu Prado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Denis Abar. The Aves Negras fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Denis Abar should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Oiteiras's zone, Siro Berasko stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnaldo Bezerra came out of the goal and Siro Berasko tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Oiteiras made a substitution. Nando Oliveira replaced Duda Capixaba. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Arnaldo Bezerra was a little too slow when Leo Lawrence got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 53rd minute. The score was now 2-1. After some careless play in the Aves Negras defense, Nilson de Senna kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Denis Abar. The Aves Negras fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Denis Abar should have stopped the shot. In a very dangerous position, a player in Oiteiras fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 65th minute. Penalty! Leandro Abeita shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Leandro Abeita hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Denis Abar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João de Carvalho in the 83rd minute of play. João de Carvalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denis Abar having to interfere. 97 minutes into the match, Afonso Penha notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Aves Negras's Denis Abar. Denis Abar was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Denis Abar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João de Carvalho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Oiteiras had played much better football throughout.
