Spectators: 7684 (Terracing: 5764, Seating: 1767, VIP seats: 153) KIRICOCHO FC's Octavio Pagomari started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Alvaro Chesus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nando Oliveira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 6th minute Octavio Pagomari shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnaldo Bezerra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling João de Carvalho in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alvaro Chesus prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 16th match minute, KIRICOCHO FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Bartoleme to maneuver through the defense. Arnaldo Bezerra made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gaudencio Polentzi in the 20th minute. João de Carvalho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alvaro Chesus read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Arnaldo Bezerra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodosio Herena in the 32nd minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, Oiteiras's goal looked a bit too open when Teodosio Herena came free, but Arnaldo Bezerra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in KIRICOCHO FC's zone, Edu Prado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alvaro Chesus came out of the goal and Edu Prado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Teodosio Herena was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 42nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Jimeno Gumaro kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. After 45 played minutes Oiteiras got a freekick which was hit by Nando Oliveira. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

53 minutes had been played when some careless play by KIRICOCHO FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Edu Prado was slow to take the kick. During this time Oiteiras's players had a chance to rest. Edu Prado made a great header on Oiteiras's corner, it was just that KIRICOCHO FC's Alvaro Chesus managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 55th minute, Nando Oliveira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Duda Capixaba got free with Alvaro Chesus in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Oiteiras were awarded a corner in the 62th minute after KIRICOCHO FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Nando Oliveira took the corner. When Roberto Escobar fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KIRICOCHO FC's protests and gave Roberto Escobar a yellow card for diving instead. After 67 played minutes KIRICOCHO FC got a freekick which was hit by Roberto Escobar. Duda Capixaba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvaro Chesus having to interfere. João de Carvalho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Alvaro Chesus made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Nando Oliveira kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alvaro Chesus. That made the score 0-2 in the 75 minute of play. After a rather tough play, KIRICOCHO FC's Gaudencio Polentzi got a free kick in the 78th minute. Alvaro Chesus made an important save on a dangerous shot by João de Carvalho in the 79th minute. If Nando Oliveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oiteiras's Arnaldo Bezerra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teodosio Herena in the 90th minute of play. In the 94th minute, João de Carvalho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alvaro Chesus was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Oiteiras walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
