Jerrod Staples was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 21st match minute, Flames FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Beau Hinojosa to maneuver through the defense. Ferruccio Costanzo didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 30th minute, which inside left pole to 2-2. Donald Kearns sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 37th minute of the match Valère Flowers shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ferruccio Costanzo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Angelo Scarinci in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jerrod Staples saved Flames FC from getting behind. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Orval Crow to strike the kick off in the second half. Emanuele Pollastrini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Jerrod Staples tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Angelo Scarinci's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jerrod Staples was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. Donald Kearns hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. 75 minutes into the match, Horace Vaughn notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of FC Aquile Azzurre's Ferruccio Costanzo. Ferruccio Costanzo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Flames FC's Beau Hinojosa got a free kick in the 81st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edoardo Proia in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jerrod Staples prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ferruccio Costanzo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orval Crow, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Darin Nunn in the 89th minute of play forced FC Aquile Azzurre's goalkeeper Ferruccio Costanzo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 93 minutes into the match, Horace Vaughn notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of FC Aquile Azzurre's Ferruccio Costanzo. Ferruccio Costanzo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Flames FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result.
