The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gilberto Pires during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Hakem Al Attar fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Golden Tigers's protests and gave Hakem Al Attar a yellow card for diving instead. Hakem Al Attar hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Alfa FC's Hugo Neiva tried to score from far away in the 8th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 9th minute, Hakem Al Attar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 10th minute Nicolas Ferreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdul Aziz Al Holey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th match minute, Golden Tigers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hakem Al Attar to maneuver through the defense. In the 13th minute, Jacinto de Sena left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Alfa FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Abdul Aziz Al Holey didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jacinto de Sena went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. 21 minutes into the match, Sílvio Luiz do Vale had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Abdul Aziz Al Holey. Golden Tigers's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sílvio Luiz do Vale was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. The supporters of Alfa FC booed when Golden Tigers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aqel Al Hindi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abdul Aziz Al Holey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacinto de Sena in the 24th minute of play. In the 27th minute, Jacinto de Sena ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Abdul Aziz Al Holey was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. After 31 minutes of play, Alfa FC's Jacinto de Sena made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Abdul Aziz Al Holey was left in no man's land by his defense there! Emanuel Vieira scored 0-6 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Abdul Aziz Al Holey, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Hugo Neiva kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. In the 38th minute Jacinto de Sena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdul Aziz Al Holey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abdul Aziz Al Holey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacinto de Sena in the 39th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the match, Golden Tigers's goal looked a bit too open when Jacinto de Sena came free, but Abdul Aziz Al Holey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfa FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 45th minute, when Saif Abo Al Hasan scored to the left of an out of position Patrick Cardozo, making the score, 1-6.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jacinto de Sena made a kick off. In the 50th minute, Sílvio Luiz do Vale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpected shot in the 58th minute by Jacinto de Sena got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Reginaldo Bastos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jacinto de Sena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Abdul Aziz Al Holey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 65th minute Qutaiba Al Ateqi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patrick Cardozo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 67 minutes into the match, Jacinto de Sena dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Abdul Aziz Al Holey, 1-7. The supporters of Alfa FC booed when Golden Tigers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Shaker Hayat didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 70th minute, Hugo Neiva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Golden Tigers's Eesa Al Hashash got a free kick in the 71st minute. Hugo Neiva took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 72nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Abdul Aziz Al Holey. Golden Tigers's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Golden Tigers's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Reginaldo Bastos 73 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-8. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Reginaldo Bastos in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Abdul Aziz Al Holey prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jacinto de Sena got free with Abdul Aziz Al Holey in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Abdul Aziz Al Holey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dalmo Gaspar in the 83rd minute of play. Shaker Hayat hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. When the final whistle sounded Alfa FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Golden Tigers.
