The referee ignored SuperChango's protests and gave Venancio Mikelar a yellow card for diving instead. Venancio Mikelar kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. A sloppy throw-in by Kléberson Lara in the 16th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by SuperChango's Eduardo Luix. With 18 minutes on the clock, Venancio Mikelar commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Venancio Mikelar hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. It was beautiful to see Compugraf's Luís Guilherme Sampaio in action when he in the 20th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. In the 23rd minute of the game Kléberson Lara made a throw-in which Luís Guilherme Sampaio played forward. SuperChango's German Indar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Márcio Domingues in the 28th minute of play. After 28th play minutes Márcio Domingues shot 1-1, a short shot which went by German Indar and just under the crossbar into goal. A collision led to SuperChango getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Serafino Chorache hit a great ball. Wilton Camargo scored 1-2 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of German Indar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. German Indar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilton Camargo, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. In the 44th minute, Márcio Domingues left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Compugraf fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gualterio Enaut was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that José Paulo Costa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but German Indar was relentless in the 54th minute of the game.
