The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta-'s Gigel Novac in the 3rd minute got a chance for a shot 3rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ibirama Futebol Clube's goalie prevented a goal. In the 4th minute José Vítor de Azevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pompiliu Nisporeanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 9 played minutes Ibirama Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Luisão Sabóia. 12 minutes into the match, F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta-'s goal looked a bit too open when Luisão Sabóia came free, but Pompiliu Nisporeanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ibirama Futebol Clube's Conrado Linares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Doru Săvescu in the 13th minute of play. Pompiliu Nisporeanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Eduardo Amorim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pompiliu Nisporeanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luisão Sabóia, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Conrado Linares was a little too slow when Gigel Novac got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 24th minute. The score was now 1-0. Felix Udroiu in the 29thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Conrado Linares, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 31 minutes into the game, F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta-'s Doru Săvescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Conrado Linares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. If Gigel Novac had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ştefan Matei kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. 37 minutes into the match, Ibirama Futebol Clube's Marcinho Dionísio broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Pompiliu Nisporeanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Vítor de Azevedo in the 40th minute of the match. In the 43rd match minute, F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Doru Săvescu to maneuver through the defense. After 44 played minutes F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta- got a freekick which was hit by Mugur Ulici. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta-'s Jovan Markovič pulled a muscle in his leg after 52 minutes and couldn't finish the game. F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta- made a substitution. Albert Ciorănescu replaced Jovan Markovič. In the 54th minute, Marcinho Dionísio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Ibirama Futebol Clube booed when F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gigel Vârșan didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doru Săvescu in the 67th minute of play forced Ibirama Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Conrado Linares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Márcio Trevisan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dinu Roşu charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dinu Roşu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 77 played minutes F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta- got a freekick which was hit by Dinu Roşu. After 79 minutes, Iulian Cangeopol mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta- and the Ibirama Futebol Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 79th minute, José Vítor de Azevedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Luisão Sabóia fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ibirama Futebol Clube's protests and gave Luisão Sabóia a yellow card for diving instead. In the 81st minute, Luisão Sabóia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Felix Udroiu kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. After having played for 90 minutes, Dinu Roşu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta-'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Dinu Roşu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 93rd match minute, F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gigel Novac to maneuver through the defense. Conrado Linares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gigel Novac in the 95th minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Ibirama Futebol Clube players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for F.C. DIANU 76 -Stiinta-.
