After 11 played minutes Brazil Academy got a freekick which was hit by Oswaldo Guimarães. Conrado Linares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rubinho Azevedo in the 14th minute of play. The Brazil Academy fans' excitement grew in the 16th match minute when Brazil Academy's Rubinho Azevedo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Rubinho Azevedo sped through Ibirama Futebol Clube's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Conrado Linares. Paulo José de Sena made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Luisão Sabóia sent off a good shot on target. Luisão Sabóias short, quick shot in the 36thth minute got Paulo José de Sena to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Rodolfo Souto's late challenge caught a Ibirama Futebol Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rodolfo Souto helped the player get up and apologised. A hard shot by Marcinho Dionísio from long distance, 38 minutes into the match, got Paulo José de Sena's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After 39 minutes of play, Brazil Academy's Rubinho Azevedo made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Conrado Linares was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Ibirama Futebol Clube defense, Rubinho Azevedo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Conrado Linares. The Ibirama Futebol Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Conrado Linares should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rubinho Azevedo in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Conrado Linares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Conrado Linares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rony Aparecido in the 47th minute of the match. The Ibirama Futebol Clube players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Brazil Academy were winning 2-4.

When Brazil Academy's Rubinho Azevedo in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Rubinho Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Dário Vianna fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ibirama Futebol Clube's protests and gave Dário Vianna a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Brazil Academy booed when Ibirama Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dário Vianna didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 77 played minutes, Brazil Academy's Oswaldo Guimarães shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Conrado Linares came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Brazil Academy reached it. Rubinho Azevedo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Conrado Linares made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rubinho Azevedo in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Conrado Linares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Rubinho Azevedo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Conrado Linares was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Brazil Academy eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
