In the 5th minute, Angelino Eudoxio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rubinho Azevedo had several of the ACF Fiorentina's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 7 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Abelardo Videl as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 17th minute Rubinho Azevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abelardo Videl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes into the game, Thomás Massa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Brazil Academy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ACF Fiorentina the free kick. Thomás Massa kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. With his leg Abelardo Videl managed to avoid a goal in the 22ndth minute, when Brazil Academy's Armando Meira fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nando Quadros in the 25th minute of play forced ACF Fiorentina's goalkeeper Abelardo Videl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes into the match, ACF Fiorentina's goalkeeper Abelardo Videl had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rubinho Azevedo. After a rather tough play, ACF Fiorentina's Prospero Gutxi got a free kick in the 29th minute. After 30 minutes of play, Brazil Academy's Rubinho Azevedo made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Abelardo Videl was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to ACF Fiorentina getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Raul Mergildo hit a great ball. 35 minutes into the match, Rubinho Azevedo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Abelardo Videl. ACF Fiorentina's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rubinho Azevedo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Armando Meira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Abelardo Videl made a huge save. A collision led to ACF Fiorentina getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Enzo Udalaitz hit a great ball. With a little luck, ACF Fiorentina's Abelardo Videl got control of the ball when Nando Quadros tried to sneak it across the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rubinho Azevedo to make the kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Rubinho Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brazil Academy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rubinho Azevedo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Brazil Academy were furious when Thomás Massa was red carded, 54 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After a rather tough play, Brazil Academy's Thomás Massa got a free kick in the 54th minute. 58 minutes into the game, Brazil Academy's Nando Quadros nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Abelardo Videl made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. 61 minutes into the match, ACF Fiorentina's goal looked a bit too open when Rubinho Azevedo came free, but Abelardo Videl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abelardo Videl didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nando Quadros went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. In the 66th minute Rubinho Azevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abelardo Videl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Enzo Udalaitz kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. In the 76th match minute, Brazil Academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rony Aparecido to maneuver through the defense. Abelardo Videl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nando Quadros in the 86th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mauricio Chuan in the 88th minute of play forced Brazil Academy's goalkeeper Paulo José de Sena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the ACF Fiorentina players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Brazil Academy.
