Spectators: 7655 (Terracing: 5743, Seating: 1760, VIP seats: 152) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Claude Vilter started the match with the kick off. In the 8th minute of the match, Luisão Sabóia got a very nice opportunity to score, but German Whitley was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 16th minute José Vítor de Azevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but German Whitley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Claude Vilter kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Márcio Trevisan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 31 played minutes Recolta Alamor got a freekick which was hit by Jesus Wolfe. After 32 minutes, José Vítor de Azevedo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ibirama Futebol Clube and the Recolta Alamor players grew even worse after the yellow card. José Vítor de Azevedo kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. The supporters of Ibirama Futebol Clube booed when Recolta Alamor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armando Arroyo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luís Eduardo Amorim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. German Whitley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38thth minute of the game Claude Vilter who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ibirama Futebol Clube's Conrado Linares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 39th minute, José Vítor de Azevedo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ibirama Futebol Clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Ibirama Futebol Clube's Conrado Linares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claude Vilter in the 43rd minute of play. Conrado Linares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vernon Kirkland's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claude Vilter in the 46th minute of play forced Ibirama Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Conrado Linares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luisão Sabóia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Claude Vilter's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Conrado Linares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. In the 53rd minute, José Vítor de Azevedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Conrado Linares was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Rickey Rosen. Conrado Linares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claude Vilter, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. After some careless play in the Recolta Alamor defense, José Vítor de Azevedo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of German Whitley. The Recolta Alamor fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that German Whitley should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Recolta Alamor booed when Ibirama Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcinho Dionísio didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Conrado Linares managed to avoid a goal in the 63rdth minute, when Recolta Alamor's Claude Vilter fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Conrado Linares was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Vernon Kirkland. German Whitley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Vítor de Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Ibirama Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Márcio Trevisan hit a great ball. In the 73rdth minute of the game Claude Vilter who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ibirama Futebol Clube's Conrado Linares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luisão Sabóia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. German Whitley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Claude Vilter got a fine position in front of goal ttaking advantage of the opportunity to rumble in 2-1 in the right cross in the 83rd match minute before Conrado Linares had time to react. José Vítor de Azevedo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without German Whitley having to make a save.
