Spectators: 7738 (Terracing: 5805, Seating: 1779, VIP seats: 154) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Murilo Alcântara made the kick off which started today's match. Fabian Borg's late challenge caught a Parfrente FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fabian Borg helped the player get up and apologised. After 3 played minutes Sliema Dragons FC got a freekick which was hit by Fabian Borg. An unexpectedly hard shot by Murilo Alcântara in the 4th minute of play forced Sliema Dragons FC's goalkeeper John Balzan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Murilo Alcântara took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised John Balzan. John Balzan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Patrick Buttigieg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sliema Dragons FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Patrick Buttigieg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Haroldo Chaves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 15th match minute, Parfrente FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edson Vinhas to maneuver through the defense. Fabian Borgs short, quick shot in the 17thth minute got Haroldo Chaves to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Vince Gauci recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 29 minutes into the match, Sliema Dragons FC's goal looked a bit too open when Murilo Alcântara came free, but John Balzan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mauro Montenegro kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Haroldo Chaves came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Sliema Dragons FC's Vince Gauci. But to his dismay, Vince Gauci quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After recieving a nice pass, Parfrente FC's Ramón Branco tried to score from far away in the 43rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Edson Vinhas hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. In the 52nd minute Patrick Buttigieg collided with an opponent which caused him a fractured collar bone. Mauro Montenegro's late challenge caught a Sliema Dragons FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mauro Montenegro helped the player get up and apologised. Sliema Dragons FC made a substitution. Kyle Axisa replaced Patrick Buttigieg. In the 54th minute, Mauro Montenegro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fabian Borg, 54 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Sliema Dragons FC made a substitution. Robert Pullicino replaced Ian Depasquale. Diamantino Cosme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Balzan having to interfere. Parfrente FC were awarded a corner in the 73th minute after Sliema Dragons FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ramón Branco took the corner. In the 77th minute Fabian Borg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Haroldo Chaves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Diamantino Cosme came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Parfrente FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diamantino Cosme couldn't finish the play. 83 minutes into the match, Parfrente FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vince Gauci came free, but Haroldo Chaves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Parfrente FC's goalkeeper Haroldo Chaves, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 91st minute, Murilo Alcântara made a precise shot to the right of John Balzan. Sliema Dragons FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Parfrente FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
