Duda de Sousa took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Erik Magnusson. Erik Magnusson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Dráusio Oliveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Svante Josefsson in the 29th minute of the match. Erik Magnusson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Duda de Sousa in the 35th minute of play. Tallboda Gunners's Svante Josefsson got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rui Moreira kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Cristóvão Paranaense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Cristóvão Paranaense made the kick off in the second half. In a very dangerous position, a player in Izaltina FAD fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 51st minute. Penalty! Tord Walroth shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Erik Magnusson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Duda de Sousa in the 54th minute of play. With a little luck, Tallboda Gunners's Erik Magnusson got control of the ball when Duda de Sousa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Izaltina FAD's Dráusio Oliveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jens-Åke Svanér in the 58th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, Izaltina FAD's goal looked a bit too open when Ernst Biörkman came free, but Dráusio Oliveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristóvão Paranaense might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Erik Magnusson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristóvão Paranaense ran back to his position shaking his head. With his leg Erik Magnusson managed to avoid a goal in the 62ndth minute, when Izaltina FAD's Duda de Sousa fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 64 minutes into the game, José Paulo Recife recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Erik Magnusson. José Paulo Recife showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Duda de Sousa got free with Erik Magnusson in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dráusio Oliveira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Svante Josefsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 85 minutes into the game, Cristóvão Paranaense recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Erik Magnusson. Cristóvão Paranaense showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. 97 minutes into the game, Gernando Cruz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Izaltina FAD's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tallboda Gunners the free kick. The Tallboda Gunners supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Izaltina FAD's performance. The match ended with a win for Izaltina FAD.
