The FC CSKA fans' excitement grew in the 24th match minute when FC CSKA's Rafail Bumbovski looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. FC CSKA's Atanas Dlúgnekov proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save FC CSKA from getting a goal against them. Adam Verzeanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Vladislav Glavanakov's late challenge caught a F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. A very good chance. Kamen Sarandev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dumitru Buzea having to interfere. After some careless play in the FC CSKA defense, Valeriu Bucurescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Atanas Dlúgnekov. The FC CSKA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Atanas Dlúgnekov should have stopped the shot. During the 97th minute of the match Hristo Konsulov completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Hristo Konsulov a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to FC CSKA getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Hristo Konsulov hit a great ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. FC CSKA had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
