After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Cléber Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. ǺŁвǺтяØƶ - ƒรCмƶ's supporters rose to their feet, but Cléber Azevedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rusty Little breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Santos FC booed when ǺŁвǺтяØƶ - ƒรCмƶ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enéas Ramalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Murillo Gomes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Desmond Rowell in the 30th minute of the match. After 34 minutes, Jamar Maxwell mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Santos FC and the ǺŁвǺтяØƶ - ƒรCмƶ players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cléber Azevedo in the 35th minute of play forced Santos FC's goalkeeper Rusty Little to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 37 minutes of play, Santos FC's Leon Burr made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Murillo Gomes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cléber Azevedo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 41stth minute tested the skills of Rusty Little when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Victor Hess made the kick off in the second half. Duda Favoretto hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. In the 52nd match minute, Santos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Desmond Rowell to maneuver through the defense. In the 57th minute, Arthur Borges hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Santos FC's Sherwood Franks in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The referee showed Cléber Azevedo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to ǺŁвǺтяØƶ - ƒรCмƶ getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Cléber Azevedo hit a great ball. When Sherwood Franks fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Santos FC's protests and gave Sherwood Franks a yellow card for diving instead. Desmond Rowell's late challenge caught a ǺŁвǺтяØƶ - ƒรCмƶ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Desmond Rowell helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Santos FC's Desmond Rowell got a free kick in the 71st minute. Rusty Little came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by ǺŁвǺтяØƶ - ƒรCмƶ's Cléber Azevedo. But to his dismay, Cléber Azevedo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After a rather tough play, Santos FC's Jamar Maxwell got a free kick in the 78th minute. 81 minutes into the match, Santos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cléber Azevedo came free, but Rusty Little reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rusty Little made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cléber Azevedo in the 90th minute of play. The supporters of ǺŁвǺтяØƶ - ƒรCмƶ booed when Santos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodrick Orlinsky didn't get a good kick on the ball.
